Preview - Tri-County Swim League - Week 2

After a very impressive Week 1 of the Tri-County Swim League, which included a pair of broken team records (featured below) and a ton of Triple and Double winners, let’s now look ahead to Saturday’s dual meets. Before we do though, let's also celebrate the many kids who competed in their first swim meet last weekend! Congrats Swimmers!


Top Times from Week 1


Cross Plains Stingrays hosting Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks

Week 2 looks to be bringing equal excitement with Cross Plains Stingrays hosting Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks. Cross Plains featured four triple winners from their first meet (Ellie Roenneburg - Girls 8&U 25 M Breast, 50 M Free, & 25 M Fly, Lily Mair - Girls 13-14 50 M Free, 50 M Back, & 100 M IM, Ian Richardson - Boys 13-14 50 M Free, 50 M Back, & 50 M Fly, and Henry Zanton - Boys 9-10 100 M IM, 50 M Breaststroke, & 100 M Free). Cross Plains had a bunch of double winners in B Acker, H Bohachek, F Cupelli, A Haack, L Laszewski, Liam Mair, T Peters, F Peterson, J Reardon, and Cahner Vitense.


Sauk Prairie had a lot of impressive swims last weekend also, headlined by Cora Dunnum who was a triple winner by besting the Girls 15 - 18 100 M IM, 200 M Free, and the 50 M Fly. Other notable swims included double winners N Dunnum, K Miller, K Oleson, G Ranzenberger, D Sachtjen, and R Talmage.



Wisconsin Dells Dolphins hosting Sun Prairie Piranhas

In another battle of the unbeaten after week 1, we will see a Wisconsin Dells team that has a talented group of swimmers, lead by a strong 13 - 14 Girls group including triple winners with Madchen Ewig (100 M IM, 50 M Breaststroke, 50 M Fly) and Mackenzie McMahon (50 M Free, 50 M Back, 200 M Free). Ashiya Hopkins was also a triple winner from her impressive swims in the Girls 11-12 100 M IM, 100 M Free and 50 M Fly for the 11-12 Girls. Double winners from last weekend included R Galloway, G Hoch, J Manley, E Mayer, C Radkiewicz and R Schultz.


Sun Prairie boasts a very talented group of swimmers this year, including triple winners Elena Budde (Girls 9-10 50 M Free, 100 M IM, and 100 M Free), Cassidy Carey (Girls 15-18 50 M Back, 200 M Free, 50 M Fly), Jett Richard (Boys 9-10 50 M Free, 50 M Back, 100 M Free), and Claire Rundahl (Girls 8&U 25 M Breaststroke, 50 M Free, 25 M Fly). Other notable swims include double winners D Elliott, B Laube, J Marshall, I Schneider, A Snook, J Werwie, and C Zander.



Mazomanie Barracudas hosting Mount Horeb Gators

Coming off a close loss in last weekends meet, Mazomanie is looking to build off some strong performances including triple winners Carson Hughes (15-18 Boys - 50 M Free, 50 M Back, 50 M Fly), Sam King (13-14 Boys - 50 M Back, 100 M IM, 50 M Fly), Brooke Presny (15-18 Girls - 100 M IM, 200 M Free, 50 M Fly), and Annabelle Schultze (9-10 Girls - 50 M Free, 50 M Back, 100 M Free). Double winners from week 1 include N Frost, D Henning, K Kahl, M Larson, M Loy, and L Sutherland.


Mt. Horeb featured two triple winners during week 1 with Grace Bennin winning the Girls 15-18 50 Meter Free, 100 IM and 50 M Breaststroke. Shane Rozeboom won the Boys 15-18 50 M Free, 100 M IM, and 50 M Fly. Double winners from week 1 include A Gundrum, A Newman, and D Sickler.



Baraboo Riptides hosting Spring Green Dolphins

The final meet of Week 2 of the Tri-County Swim League has the Baraboo Riptides hosting Spring Green Dolphins. Baraboo features double winners Natalie Gneiser and Mckenzie Stute, along with many other impressive times from Maggie Holiday, Maddie Holiday, and Kennedy Klongland... just to name a few (checkout the full results here).


Spring Green featured FIVE triple winners, including Elisa Olson (Girls 9-10 - 50 M Free, 50 M Back, 100 M IM), Eli Saperstein (Boys 9-10 50 M Back, 100 M IM, 50 M Fly), Lily Saperstein (Girls 11-12 50 M Free, 50 M Back, 50 M Breaststroke), Rhet Spurley (50 M Free, 50 M Breaststroke, 100 M Free), and Danny Zaemisch (Boys 8&U 25 M Free, 50 M Free, 25 M Fly). Double winners for the Dolphins include K Alexander, S Nachreiner, T Nachreiner, and K Straka.



New Team Records!

Congrats to Lily Mair from Cross Plains for the new 13-14 Girls 50 Meter Backstroke Team Record (32.91).


Congrats also to Ian Richardson from Cross Plains for the new 13 -14 50 Meter Backstroke Team record (30.47).
