Tri-County Swim League - Week 6 Preview

Can you believe we are at Week 6 already!! What a great summer swim season this has been and the kids are getting excited about the upcoming Invitational and Conference Swim Meets!


Before we get into Week 6, let's finally closeout week 3, as the Sun Prairie Piranhas hosted the Cross Plains Stingrays on Wednesday night (previously postponed meet) and what an amazing and fun meet for both teams involved. Both teams led at different points throughout the meet and so many impressive swims, which included Lily Mair setting a new Pool Record for the Girls 13-14 Meter Backstroke with a very impressive time of 32.638! Congrats Lily!


The Sun Prairie Piranhas ended up on top with a 348-314 win, but both teams should definitely celebrate a hard fought meet!


Triple winners for the Piranhas included Vivian Paske who won the Girls 9-10 50 M Free, 100 M IM, and 50 M Breaststroke and Janelle Schulz who won the Girls 15-18 50 M Free, 100 M IM, and 50 M Breaststroke. Double winners included Elena Budde (Girls 9-10 50 M Back and 100 M Free), Cassidy Carey (Girls 15-18 50 M Back and 50 M Fly), Holden Hessling (Boys 9-10 50 M Free and 50 M Fly), Caleb Hudson (Boys 13-14 50 M Fly and 50 M Breaststroke), Jett Richard (Boys 9-10 50 M Back and 100 M Free), and Abby Snook (Girls 13-14 50 M Free and 50 M Breaststroke).


Additional winning swims for Sun Prairie included Owen Acker, Jacob Brehmer, Sophie Diers, Rebecca Elliott, Stella Hague, Nathan Halback, Hattie Hessling, Joss Hoffman, Jonah Marshall, Lily Ries, Cade Roggenbauer, and Maeve Sullivan. A great job done by all swimmers!!


For the Cross Plains Stringrays, triple winners included Freddie Cupelli who won the Boys 8&U 25 m Back, 25 M Free and 25 M Breaststroke, Ava Halanski winning the Girls 11-12 50 M Free, 50 M Back, and 100 M IM, Tony Peters who won the Boys 11-12 100 M IM, 50 M Breaststroke, and 50 M Fly, Forrest Peterson winning the Boys 15-18 50 M Back, 200 M Free, and 50 M Fly, Ian Richardson who won the Boys 13-14 50 M Back, 100 M IM and 50 M Fly, and Ellie Roenneburg who bested the Girls 8&U 24 M Free, 25 M Breaststroke, and 50 M Free.


Double winners for the Stingrays included Andy Francois (Boys 8&U 25 M Free and 25 M Fly), Liam Mair (Boys 11-12 50 M Free and 100 M Free), Lily Mair (Girls 13-14 50 M Back and 100 M IM) and Cahner Vitense (Boys 9-10 100 M IM and 50 M Breaststroke). Additional winning swims included Hannah Aegerter and Izzy Ensenberger. A tremendous job by all swimmers!!

Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks hosts Sun Prairie Piranhas

The Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks featured one triple winner in Caleb Gregg in their last meet. Caleb won the Boys 9-10 50 M Backstroke, 50 M Freestyle, and 100 M IM. Double winners for the Pool Sharks included Savannah Acker (Girls 13-14 200 M Freestyle and 50 M Backstroke), Meyer Hartwig (Boys 8&U 25 M Backstroke and 25 M Freestyle), Alana Kopp (Girls 8&U 25 M Freestyle and 50 M Freestyle), Gaven Krueger (Boys 9-10 100 M IM and 50 M Fly), Katie Frey (Girls 9-10 50 M Free and 50 M Butterfly), and Kaylee Oleson (Girls 11-12 100 M Freestyle and 100 M IM).


Other notable winning swims for the Pool Sharks included Gracia Bare, Sam Beattie, Braylin Breunig, Cora Dunnum, Ryan Godwin, Ethan Goodman, Charlotte Gregg, Joshua Gregg, Allison Herbrand, Amelia Hunter, Adam Kaukl, Adeyln Kopp, Kassandra Miller, Anthony Roasario, Adam Stecker, and Riley Talmage.


Sun Prairie Piranhas featured six triple winners last weekend, which included Jacob Brehmer (Boys 15-18 50 M Free, 50 M Fly, and 50 M Breaststroke), Elijah Gunnink (Boys 11-12 100 M Free, 50 M Fly, 50 M Back), Lila Gunnink (Girls 11-12 100 M IM, 50 M Back, 50 M Breaststroke), Adelynn Harms (100 M Free, 100 M IM, 50 M Free), Holden Hessling (100 M IM, 50 M Back, 50 M Fly), and Joss Hoffman (Girls 13.14 50 M Free, 50 M Back, and 50 M Breaststroke).


Double winners for the Piranhas included Stellia Hague, Connor Reynolds, Jett Richard, and Lily Ries. Additional wins came from Hannah Zander, Nadine Zamane, Emily Sydow, Vaughn Stolte, Abby Snook, Isaak Schneider, Gustave Schasker, Jax Richard, Samuel Olson, Lilaney Mueller, Rachel Leary, Brielle Laube, Corvin Johnson, Ben Ippolito, Jonas Hudson, Caleb Hudon, Breeley Hastings, Jada Danielson, Elena Budde, and Tori Barnet.



Mount Horeb Gators hosts Spring Green Dolphins

Mount Horeb Gators featured seven triple winners last weekend, which included Aiden Aeschlimann (Boys 9-10 100 M IM, 50 M Free, and 50 M Fly), Peyton Drexler (Girls 13-14 200 M Free, 50 M Free, and 50 M Fly), Christopher Kiel (100 M IM, 50 M Free, and 50 M Back), Ava Newman (Girls 11-12 100 M Free, 100 M IM, and 50 M Free), Maya Newman ( Girls 9-10 100 M Free, 100 M IM, and 50 M Breaststroke), Shane Rozeboom (Boys 15-18 100 M IM, 200 M Free, and 50 M Free), and Dane Sickler (Boys 13-14 100 M IM, 200 M Free, and 50 M Back).


Double winners for the Gators included Alex Gundrum (Boys 13-14 50 M Fly and 50 M Breaststroke) and Tola Klabough (Girls 15-18 100 M IM and 50 M Fly). Additional winning swims came from Calina Ackerman, Owen Aeschlimann, Conner Arneson, Emmy Bennin, Jacob Bindl, Christopher Lofts, Ireland McMahon, Siobhan Mertz, Emma Newman, Nathan Rozeboom, Poppy Sickler, and Nicholai Solodin-Braun.


Spring Green Dolphins featured six triple winners in their last meet, which was a couple Saturday ago now...so you know they are ready to swim! The triple winners included Danny Zaemisch (Boys 8&U 25 M Freestyle and Butterfly, 50 M Freestyle), Lily Saperstein (Girls 11-12 50 M Freestyle and Backstroke, 100 M IM), Eli Saperstein (Boys 9-10 50 M Backstroke and Breaststroke, 100 M IM), Elisa Olson (Girls 9-10 50 M Backstroke, 100 M IM and Freestyle), Tyler Nachreiner (50 M Backstroke and Butterfly, 100 M IM), and Sumner Nachreiner (Boys 11-12 50 M Freestyle and Butterfly, 100 M IM).


Double winners for the Spring Green Dolphins included Brianna Zaemisch, Rhet Spurley, Easton Robson, Megan Nachreiner, Casey Mack, Ashton Halverson, Ella Anliker, and Kailin Alexander.



Cross Plains Stingrays hosts Wisconsin Dells Dolphins

Cross Plains Stingrays featured a triple winner in Caden Van Buren who won the Boys 11-12 50 M Backstroke and Breaststroke, and the 100 M IM in their last Saturday meet. Coming off a tough meet against Sun Prairie this past Wednesday night, the Stingrays are definitely ready to go!


Double winners for the Cross Plain Stingrays included Henry Bohachek, Freddie Cupelli, Charlie Dawson, Izzy Ensenberger, Addison Haack, Ava Halanski, Rian Jost, Kaitlyn Peters, Tony Peters, Ellie Roenneburg, and Annika Van Buren.

Wisconsin Dells Dolphins featured a triple winner last weekend in Cash Radkiewicz who won the Boys 8&U 25 M Fly, 25 M Breaststroke, and 50 M Free. Double winners for the Dolphins included RJ Galloway (Boys 11-12 100 M Free and 50 M Fly), Grahm Hoch (25 M Free and 25 M Back), and Rakelle Schultz (Girls 15-18 50 M Free and 50 M Back).


Other winning swims for the Dolphins included Will Crothers, Madchen Ewig, Madilynn Gussel, Ashiya Hopkins, Melissa Kuhiwczak, Megan Kuhiwezak, June Manley, Ella Mayer, Emma Mayer, Mackenzie McMahon, Mya Oeftger, and Blake Schmitz.


Please also note, Cross Plains Stingrays will also be hosting the Spring Green Dolphins on Sunday, making up last weekends postponed meet.



Mazomanie Barracudas hosts Baraboo Riptides

Mazomanie Barracudas featured a triple winner in Sam King (Boys 13-14 50 M Fly, 50 M Back, and 50 M Breast) and double winners in Matthew Loy (Boys 15-18 100 M IM and 200 M Free) and Brooke Presny (Girls 15-18 200 M Free and 50 M Fly).


Other winning swims from the Barracudas included Moriah Drabenstadt, Damian Henning, Kara Loy, and Riley Petrick. A tremendous performance by all swimmers!


For the Baraboo Riptides, double winners included Derek Gehin (Boys 13-14 50 M Freestyle and 50 M Backstroke), Natalie Gneiser (Girls 15-18 50 M Freestyle and 50 M Breaststroke), Jacob Laux (Boys 15-18 100 M IM and 50 M Breastroke), Jake Orkfritz (Boys 11-12 100 M Freestyle and 50 M Freestyle), Karlie Wegner (Girls 11-12 50 M Freestyle and 50 M Butterfly) and Colson Zimmerman (Boys 8&U 25 M Breaststroke and 25 M Butterfly).


Other winning swims for the Riptides included Anna Balfanz, Logan Bradley, Brady Henry, Maggie Holiday, Kennedy Klongland, Mattie Letendre, Alekz Makowski, Gabe Shepherd, Luke Statz, Gianna Stuczynski, and McKenzie Stute. A tremendous job done by all swimmers!
